Pain is a great motivator to get us to make changes in our lives, like those moments when we look in the mirror and don’t like what we see, knowing we can be much more.

With the countless negative forces around us, how do we keep motivated? Here are some tips for motivation to help keep you moving forward on your weight loss goals, from A to Z.

A. Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places.

B. Believe in yourself, you can reach your weight goal.

C. Consider the circumstances that lead to where you are now, and make the adjustments you need to get where you want to go.

D. Don’t give up and don’t give in.

E. Enjoy yourself as much as possible. Motivation thrives when you are happy.

F. Family and friends are among life’s greatest gifts, and they can be a positive influence when we are trying to achieve our goals.

G. Give it your best shot. When you cheat on your diet program, the most important person knows - you.

H. Hang on to your dreams. If you blow it, get up, dust yourself off and start again.

I. Ignore those who try to undermine you. Don’t let other people get the best of you and stay away from toxic people.

J. Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself and the key to failure is always trying to please everyone else.

K. Keep your eye on the goal. Don’t stop trying, even when you are having trouble seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

L. Learn to love your self. You have so many good points, how hard can it be?

M. Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.

N. Never lie, cheat or steal. Always be honest.

O. Open your eyes to the possibilities and rewards you will enjoy when you reach your weight goals.

P. Practice good eating habits. Repetition becomes habit. Q. Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, the question is, are you going to be a quitter or a winner?

R. Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. Get organized and structure your plan to help minimize the possibility of lapsing on your diet and exercise program.

S. Stop procrastinating.

T. Take control of your life. More discipline and self control are the result of motivation. Both are key factors in your success.

U. Understand clearly the reasons that drove you to embark on this road to self-improvement.

V. Visualize your progress and how things will be when you reach your goal. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

W. Want it more than anything. When you want it more than anything, it becomes a priority in your life.

X. X Factor is the variable that makes you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put “extras” on your life, such as extra time for the things you need to meet your goals.

Y. You are unique and special. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you.

Z. Zero in on your dreams and go for it!!!
