Ways to lose a pound a week

Empower yourself Stop thinking that you cant and start believing that you can. Find one body part that you like and start expressing gratitude toward that body part every day. You will be surprised at what happens when you stop judging and start uplifting yourself.

Dream in color Find pictures of the body that you want to have. Write down all the things that you are going to do when you reach your goal, that you never let yourself do before. Day dream about them often and allow yourself to begin to experience those things now.

Get checked out Have a physical and make sure that you don't have any underlying health issues. The doctor can either give you the go ahead to get active or get you on the right track to handle your medical conditions so that you will be ready to jump on the health bandwagon.

Be committed and flexible Especially when you are starting out, it is important to have a strict routine. However, we all know that life happens. If something comes up and your normal time schedule is not going to work today, it's alright. Take a deep breath and look for another way to make it happen. Take a minute to relax and the answers will come.

Celebrate every success There is no such thing as a small success, they all deserve to be celebrated. Find ways that you can acknowledge yourself for the things that you are doing right. This will build your self confidence and make it easier for you to stay on track. Remember where you cam from It might be fun after you have lost 10 pounds to get a couple of 5 pound bags of sugar, put them into a backpack and carry them around for an hour or two. 10 pounds might not sound like much but it will feel like it.

Focus on the goal not the obstacles It is so easy sometimes to get stuck on an obstacle that seems insurmountable. Think about where you are headed. Turn the obstacle into a stepping stone. Keep a picture or note about the real reasons you are doing this and use it to refocus on what really matters. YOU!
